Shagrat's boys! (Orcs)

Shagrat, War Leader is one of the toughest evil warriors in Middle-earth. He is the captain in command of the Uruks at the tower of Cirith Ungol, a watchtower that guarded a treacherous pass into Mordor. His three A and high value of D make him an unstoppable butcher, a fear for every warrior who will stand in front of him. Furthermore, his special rule "Shield of Cirith Ungol" gives him a tremendous advantage against his opponents.
Below you can see some Orc warriors that I painted three or maybe four years ago. Orc warriors as miniatures are very nice for conversions. You can do whatever you want with them. You can change heads, weapons, torsos, etc. in order to make unique fighters. It is easy to do such things with Orcs.

Orcs with spears are an easy target for enemy archers. For this reason I gave some of them shields to increase their D value.

That's it for today. Stay tuned for the Warg Riders!

  1. Sweeet bases! And great conversions, perhaps a slight nod to Viruk's conversions?

You really keep on working well with your projects - I try too, but sometimes... well you know... Anyway, its nice to see that our hobby is well alive :) Just waiting for the Hobbit to blow it totally out of proportion, hahaha!

    1. Mr Llama, thank you very much for your comments. The bases is my wife's contribution! :)
I confess that Viruk's Orcs were an inspiration, just do not remember where from.
As for the projects I also wish I could manage more. Only one post in June so far. Well, one day is the EURO, another - my daughters' school exams...
