Galadriel

The last month I traveled a lot. I visited Portugal and Italy for business reasons. Now, I am back in Spain again. As the weather is still perfect here, I travel around Andalusia. One of the places I have been is Arcos de la Frontera. Recently, this town celebrated the 750 anniversary of the re-population of the city and the introducing of Christianity. That happened in the year 1264, after more than 700 years of Muslim rule! They had a reenactment as well, if someone is interested he can visit the following:

In the meanwhile, I bought some old GW blisters at a very nice price! I also had a gift from a friend, a Mithril, LOTR 'Isengard Orc warrior' 54mm Scale Metal Miniature.

And some more photos from Arcos:

   Vincent Clive, welcome on board!
That's it for today! Stay tuned for more!

  2. These celebrations with regards to winning the battles, correct me if I am wrong here, but weren't the leader called Martell? The final battle to throw out the Moorish invaders? We did not really go into this in history class, for some or the other reason, despite it being a pivotal point in European history.

Is it a ringwraith in the blue blister? Got a blister with Galadriel and her dude and the moon mirror, it is a nice kit - I had originally thought of sculpting my own moon mirror but it literary turned out like a turd so I parted with the money instead. Beautiful models, as always.

  3. Charles Martel, Duke and Prince of the Franks halted the Islamic advance into Western Europe at the battle of Tours in France (October 732).
I learned about the following two heroes here:
Ferdinand III of Castile (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferdinand_III_of_Castile) and Sancho IV of Castile (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sancho_IV_of_Castile)
I am sure there are more, but as you said, unfortunately we didn't really go into this in history class!
Tha ringwraith is "The Betrayer", which is my favourite Nazgul miniature!
