More Giant Bats!

Some months ago I bought six aquarium decoration pieces from the local pet shop. They were very cheap, less than 1 euro each. I used one piece to decorate the bases of my fell wargs and the rest I kept to use for my Bat Swarm. Though these are miniatures for the Age of Sigmar I believe they are perfect for Moria atmosphere. Just I needed to give them some height to match with my Giant Bats and for this I had the aquarium decoration pieces. Druzhag the Beast caller will not see any difference!

Less than 1 euro each!

Apart from the above pieces I used two bases from the Myrmourn Banshees box. More about the Banshees in a future post.

Mordor Troll Chieftain

Finally I have finished my eighth and last Troll! This one is a Chieftain, ready to lead my other three Mordor Trolls on the battlefield against the Good forces.

The Chieftain

I used all the remaining spare parts I had from my previous trolls and not only these. As you can see the Chieftain has a Cave troll's hammer, a Dead warrior's shield, a basket and a horn from a Warhammer miniature, I think.

I removed the hands of the Trolls from both, the Mordor club and the Isengard spear. Then, I used half of the spear and I stuck on it a part of the rim of the Mordor drum. You can see below in red cycles the parts I mean.

I hung the helmet, the basket, the horn and the heads on the chain belt.

I used shades of brown for the troll's clothes but when I finished I realized that the beige fabrics and trousers reminded me "pyjamas"! My wife called him "Potato"! Never mind!

I took the first and the last photo with my new camera. I think I will use this one from now on.

And a seasonal photo of our cat. Happy holidays!

That's it for today! Stay tuned for more!

Flemish Mercenaries

The Flemish mercenaries were famous heavy foot spearmen. Gripping Beast has a very nice group of such heavy infantrymen, which consists of eight metallic miniatures. The below "Flems" are not the original GB warriors. They are really good plastic Norman infantry miniatures of Conquest  Games.
