Obstacles

Five obstacles proper for World War II games are ready. Apart from the usual materials, such as mdf, balsa wood, PVA glue, sand, little rocks, etc., the main materials I used were cotton buds and the wire from the earbuds, which are a free offer to RENFE train travelers. The barbed wire is a "The Army Painter" product. The final cost of all five little terrain pieces came very low.

I used the wire of the earbuds to tie together the cotton buds and PVA glue to secure the construction.

The pieces are ready for priming and painting.

I painted the "metallic" rods here and there with Vallejo "Orange Fire" and then I gave them a heavy wash with Army Painter "Dark tone".

The last two obstacles have the barbed wire.

That's all for today! Stay tuned for more!

Timber frame houses

Three timber frame houses which I hope can easily be used for Lord of the rings, SAGA or BA games. They look like village houses of the Vikings era but also are proper for the time period of WWII. The good thing is that they are low cost scratch built terrain pieces. I used balsa wood, foam boards, a towel from IKEA, plaster, little rocks and MDF.

My wife cut the stripes from the towel.

I used plaster to cover the walls.

I painted the thatched roof brown, then highlighted it with desert yellow and finally with buff.

The first house is ready.

Second ready.

Third and last ready as well.

In the meanwhile, there are preparations around here for the forthcoming Feria. People are already gathering together in various clubs and organize little pre-Ferias to practice the famous "Sevillanas".
